Ascent Trip Report

My fiance had a bridal shower to go to today. So I did what any self-respecting man would do. I ran for the hills...

Got to the trail head at 10:30 and started the climb. The snow was well packed until about 3,000 feet. After that I strapped on the snow shoes for the rest of the trip. At some points there were up to 10" of fresh powder on top of the snow pack. The Tecumseh/Sosman split was easy to find. The last leg of the trip was very quick and easy. The summit was breezy and skies were a little overcast.

It took about 2:40 to get to the summit. Took a couple pictures and turned around. Only about 1:05 to make it back down. It was a great hike. Had a lot of fun. Ran into one other person on snow shoes and one guy climbed on skis. Otherwise, tons of people out on the slopes enjoying the last of the spring skiing.

Made it home around 5. We got a toaster.
