Ascent Trip ReportThis is a fun little hike, that can be tough on the calf muscles as the route is fairly steep (1100 ft/mile average) and has no warm-up. From the trailhead it looks like it would be mostly class 3, but in fact it is mostly class 2 with a few class 3 sections (that possibly can be avoided). I would not try to go from this peak to the pass between this peak and White Rock Peak, as there are some nasty looking cliffs that would take much work to go around.
It is strange that the 5977' peak got the name "White Rock Spring Peak" when there is a peak at least 23' taller just 0.2 miles away.
