Ascent of Mount Tecumseh on 2011-03-26
|Date:||Saturday, March 26, 2011|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Motorized Transport to Trailhead:||Car|
| Location:||USA-New Hampshire|
| Elevation:||4003 ft / 1220 m|
Ascent Trip ReportAlthough this hike was technically a spring hike, it was my first in "winter" conditions. The trail was well packed up to around 3000'. After 3000' the previous hiker's trail was easy follow, but had been somewhat filled by blown in snow. After the junction with Sosman the trail was largely filled in snow drifts, but was still obvious. The Tecumseh/Sosman split wasn't obvious, and we continued up to the summit on Sosman.
The weather was beautiful, as were the woods covered in snow.
