Ascent Trip ReportI AM OFFICALY NAMING THIS MOUNTAIN AFTER MY SISTER ARIEL SINSE IT DOES NOT HAVE A NAME, THIS PEAK IS NOW CALLED ARIELS PEAK! But if you are reading this it is a continuation of the last trip report of Twining Peak because I did them both on the same day on the last day of winter as spring equinox was at 7:21 PM. So after descending from Twining Peak we ate lunch and it was around then that I was stricken with bad AMS comming from sea level in Florida. I was able to keep my balance and strength enough to get to the top of Ariels Peak and down without incodent. I did feel somewhat pathetic when my guide from Aspen Expeditions, who was amazing decided it would be best to carry my pack aswell. It was a good decision and it saved us a lot of time and me a lot of misery. This expirience humbled me so much and taught me so much about myself and about winter backcountry travel. This climb would not have been possible without my astoundingly strong and caring guide Dirk, thank you.
