Ascent Trip ReportDay's second of four peaks. Early morning's hard crust kept me up running, gliding across snow in my icebug shoes. Herlihy Rd (off Rte 80) becomes an unplowed logging road with parking, arriving at a logging yard after about two miles, Shackham Rd is a paved and plowed road but parking may be problematic while Morgan Hill Rd directly across is another unplowed logging road which crosses the North Country National Scenic Trail (Blue-blazed Finger Lakes Trail) in a quarter mile. Followed blue trail south then headed up East by GPS (Love My GPS) to summit. My trek east took me across Morgan Hill Rd again (it turns a V getting there and was my longer way back) and into woods with many old tote roads about even to crossings near to summit.
