Ascent Trip ReportShort walk on pasture land ...... less than 200 yards, 10 minutes RT.
From the Columbia County HP we continued west on I20 to exit 105, then north on Newborn Road .3 miles to a left on Davis Academy Road. West 2.7 miles to a left at Lynch Road (just west of County Line). If approaching from the west, I20 exit 101, drive north on 278 for 2.2 miles to a right on Davis Academy Road, then .4 miles east to Lynch Road.
We drove .56 miles south on Lunch Road and parked the van at 33.61549, 83.66710. You are in Walton County, on the right (west) is a fenced-in cow pasture, on the left (east) is a fenced-in horse pasture and the obvious high ground, 100 yards to the Morgan County Line.
There is gated driveway just 100 feet up the road to the left. I hopped over the gate and walked straight to the obvious high ground, stomped around some trying to touch all bases, I was back in less than 10 minutes, 2 inquisitive horses in the distance kept an eye on me the whole time.
