Ascent Trip Report

At the corner where triangulation point Lavender is mapped is a new overlook platform with two interpretive signs. Head west on 248th street to about where it crosses the 450' contour and look for a gated, grassy road with a King County Parks sign. There is parking for a couple of cars without blocking the gate. Follow your nose (or the aerial photos) along the gated road, keeping right at two junctions, to the summit area. Poke around in the brush stepping on high points until you are comfortable you've been to the top. This is public land until you get to the fence just before the edge of the quarry. I can't say where the top is, only that it must be one of the many spots I stepped on.
