Ascent Trip Report

Parked at Jewell Hollow overlook per Mike Schwartz instructions. He suggests walking along the road to a short spur trail connecting to the Appalachian Trail, but the AT is visible across a small meadow from the parking spot so I headed directly to it. Many boulders at the top look like potential high point candidates, but based on GPS readings and visual observation, I concur with Mike Schwartz' judgment that the highest spot is a large boulder about 70 feet off the trail visible just where the AT starts to head slightly down.
