Ascent Trip ReportAfter Cowles Mtn, I headed over to Pyles Peak via the trail. What a great walk! Not a single soul on the entire mountain once I left the summit of Cowles. The flowers were blooming from the rain the weekend before and the marine layer was moving in, shrouding Cowles Mtn in clouds as I topped out on the unnamed peak between Pyles and Cowles. Luckily, Pyles didn't get covered in clouds until after I was descending from the summit.
Headed back over Cowles after Pyles. The sun set as I was headed back up Cowles, so I took the service road back down to Barker Dr vice the Barker Trail. Didn't need my headlamp and I only encountered 5 people on the way down.
