Ascent Trip ReportDebb and I left from our camp at Upper Pines at about 08:30 am and made our way to Little Yosemite Valley. After setting up our tent and shifting some things to our day packs we decided to head on up to the top during the late afternoon to avoid the traffic jam on the cables. Just before reaching the sub-dome we changed out of our boots and into our approach shoes. Pulling up the cables took more upper body strength than we had expected but we made it with no issues. When we got to the top we realized neither of us had brought the snacks so we had some Gatorade and enjoyed the near solitude (only about 6 other people there with us). Then we made our way back down and proceeded back to our base camp.
