Ascent Trip ReportDavid Galvin’s trip report (October 26, 2000) still follows thru. The left fork approaching the Pigeon-Panther col is well maintained and blazed (orange surveyor’s tape) up to Pigeon Mtn’s southern saddle and to within nearly 500 yards of the peak. This day Pinnacle Rd was well cleared to the trailhead while the trail was snowshoe broken to a turn toward Pinnacle Mtn and skied to and beyond Pigeon Mtn’s southern saddle. Thankfully the barely solid trail made my approach possible, leading to a relatively short but lengthy time wise bushwack into deep snow.
