Ascent Trip ReportWe headed up to the hut from Zealand Pond amidst thickly falling snow. On the way up, we decided to attempt to scale the frozen Zealand Falls. It was a great decision! We worked our way up the falls, making great use of the crampons on the bottom of our snowshoes. Terrific views of Mount Tom from the top of the falls. We played a single game of Shanghai Rummy, in which I managed to pull off a come from behind win. Mike taught me how to play backgammon, and I played a few games with him and Ben. Went to bed early since we were planning to do a sunrise hike up the Zeacliff the next morning.
