Ascent Trip Report

Spent a few extra hours "lost" in the forest as I hiked out... got off a wrong bearing, night fell, realized I was lost. Grew a brain, got out my GPS, figured where I was, aimed for a pre-entered waypoint that got me back to the main road, about 2 miles from where I parked. Incredible deadfall in the forest slowed me and added to the challenge. Piles of logs the size of buildings.... Took nearly two hours to go less than a mile, in the dark, half that time just figuring out how to get past log piles. Certainly more than I bargained for.
