Ascent Trip ReportBeautiful hike in every way. Devil's Lake trailhead can get a little packed in high season, but it's in a great spot, and access is easy from the Mt. Bachelor highway. The trail climbs through woods until it kicks out onto a long dry plateau and winds its way along glacial moraines. Eventually it steepens until you reach a high puddle-pond, and the final stretch of the mountain, rising between Lewis and Clark glaciers. At the top, you wind around the crater and the highest lake in Oregon to reach a windy, rocky summit.
