Ascent Trip ReportThis was a very enjoyable and memorable ski ascent. We left the base parking around 9:00am at a temperature of about -20°C. Air was very dry in a clear sky.
Halfway up the mountain we were the first group up at the relief hut. Unfortunately, while scrambling to get wood for the stove, I opened multiple deep gashes in my left index finger. We patched it up roughly and we proceeded up the trail. I have nice scars of this event as healing was impeded by a week long XC ski trip.
Climbing skins made the final slope somewhat easy, although there being no resting area until the top of the col.
Wind was intense at the top, so we stayed up for photos and quickly started back down.
Uneventful descent.
