Ascent Trip ReportDrove out to TH with the hubby - 4WD and high clearance vehicle recommended. TH was at mile 4.7 on Lost Valley Road going towards the Boy Scout camp. Headed North for approx 2 miles on PCT until we came to a saddle overlooking the East (Paradise Valley) and flat-ish camping spot. From there, we navigated away from the PCT and followed a somewhat obvious duck/carin route to the summit. No defined trail, but plenty of carins to look up for. 15 minute scramble or so - some loose soil and rocks, very steep at times - but well worth the effort. 3 USGS markers, the HPS logbook in an ammo can, and summit peak stake are all at the top. Beautiful views and a great spot for lunch if it's not too windy.
