Ascent Trip Report

A short hike on a dirt road/bushwack ...... .75 miles, 40 minutes RT.

This county has 5 candidate high point areas .... 3 located at the northeast corner and 2 at the northwest side. I went to AREA 1 only, located at the northeast corner of the county.

AREA 1
We drove west on Alabama CR70 (Tanner Williams Road) passing through the village of Tanner Williams to the State Line Road (AL/MS), turned right and continued north on the paved State Line Road .68 miles to a left turn on Bertis White Road which led west 400 yards to a private house. The lady didn't want to give me permission, saying come back later. I thanked her and drove back to State Line to the dirt road talked about in Dale's TR (50 yards south).

I parked on State Line and walked west 600 yds on the dirt road then bushwacked north 150 yds to the Highpoint area, I chose a spot at 30.7200, 88.4190.
I didn't go to the other 2 candidates in this area or to the 2 candidates located at the northwest corner.
From here we drove to Mobile, I65, exit3 and overnighted at a Hotel.
