Ascent Trip Report

From Seventy Rd we bushwacked the ravine between Bald Peak & Seventy Mtn to the N up & around to Bald and followed Slip Mtn's long NE ridge with views to Slip Mtn, we had lunch here at our mid-point. The crossing to Jay Mtn was agonizinly slow with much evergreen thickets. We reached Jay's open ridge in whiteout of cloud and drenching rain, still our descent was now along open ridge and trail, fortunately my poles helped me in limping along. We made a crossing of the Jay Range a bit over 7 miles and 12 hours.
