Ascent Trip ReportTook my chances using my military ID at the gate here. I didn't make arrangements in advance, as I did this day trip on a whim. I drove up to the guard shack it and showed it, explaining that I wanted to do the county high point. The guards seemed clueless about the CoHP, but were cool enough to let me park at the gate and wander around the outside of the fence line thanks to my military ID. I snuck a picture of myself just around the corner from the guard shack where they couldn't see me - not at the HP but close enough. I'm sure if I had called I could have actually gone inside the fence.
