Ascent of Eagle Mountain on 2011-01-03
|Date:||Monday, January 3, 2011|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Location:||USA-New York|
| Elevation:||3600 ft / 1097 m|
Ascent Trip ReportContinued over Balsam past the four-way and over Haynes and up to Eagle. The broken trail detoured far to the right around an icy ledge near the four-way. I kicked steps straight over it instead. The whole trail was well broken with packed hard-frozen snow. Carried snowshoes but wore Microspikes the whole way. The trail was still somewhat grown-in as it has been but not as bad in winter. The summit cairn has grown. Returned via Rider Hollow past the lean-to.
