Ascent Trip ReportDrove from Lom to the Spiterstulen hut and left around 10 am after checking the weather and paying for a road permit. Snow fell consistently above the brow of the Spitulerstulen valley. Met a German climber on the ridge of Svellnose who said that he had turned back back maybe thirty minutes from the top because "conditions weren't funny up there". Kept going through manageable snowfall, albeit with a tiring haul through deep snow up to Keilhaus Topp. The tops of marker cairns were visible leading to Gladhoppigen, were I caught up with a Norwegian couple - she said:"our first time. It's beautiful, but never again!". It was beautiful as the sun broke through, giving views across the peaks of Jotunheim and down onto the glaciers.
