Ascent Trip ReportWhat a perfect day for a hike in the desert. I started out from Turkey Flat around 10 am. I took the first ridge to the east of the main south wash of the mountain. I pretty much followed the ridge to some use trails higher up. The summit view was spectacular. It has been raining for the past week, so the sky was crystal clear and the snow-covered tops of San Jacinto & San Gorgonio were visible. A lot of familiar names in the summit register. Another guy, Nathan, climbed it earlier the same day. I would guess that our ascents will be the final ones of 2010 for this peak.
