Ascent Trip Report

I approached Peak 3181 from Poormans Creek Road and BLM 38-2-8. I drove up the BLM road about .3 mile and then took the left fork down towards the creek on a lesser road for another .1 mile to a locked gate where I parked. I hiked up the road all the way to near the summit. The road passes about 200 ft to the east of the summit. The road is bermed just past a little saddle near the summit and from the berm it is an easy climb up to the high point. Strange there were 2 sets of dumbbells on the summit. Maybe someone was hiding a Xmas gift up here? I left them (who wants to add a hundred pounds of heavy weights to their day pack) and enjoyed the views instead. The views were somewhat blocked by the surrounding forest, but this was a nice hike anyway.
