Ascent Trip ReportI approached Peak 2700 from the town of Rogue River, drove out Ward Creek Road to Boyd Road and then about .8 mile to a locked brown gate on the right where I parked. I hiked up the hill under the transmission power lines and then turned right. From here it is a total bushwhack to the summit. There is no way to make it go fast, so I took my time, furst beating my way up to the ridgeline and then along the ridgeline to the summit. I think the highest point is in the little closed contour circle on the south end of the ridge. Further north along the ridge there is a trail that comes up from the north. I think the private property owners use the hill for mountain biking. The way I hiked, it is a total bushwhack, not fun at all, with limited views of more brushy hills.
