Ascent Trip Report

A quick dawn climb before the day's work. Ascended from the North (Holyroodhouse), an unnecessary detour in the dark via Salisbury Crag, a more direct descent. Marvellous views over Edinburgh and its environs from the top, crisp and clear despite the extensive cloud above. Climbed Calton Hill on the way back which gave further fine views.
