Ascent Trip ReportA great hike to a stunning peak. This one is best after mid-August or later after the snow has melted or else there will be a lot of steep snow and routefinding to be dealt with. The map shows trail ending at Tin Cup Gap but a pretty clear route effectively goes to at least the slopes immediately south of the summit block. Scramble up and then left at the summit block to find the ladders. First two ladders are easy but beware of the metal spike partway up the third ladder. To gain the highpoint you must open the LO and exit out the opposite side through a window. Lots of ups and downs and the trail is not fast going. Be prepared for wet brush and mud on trail.
