Ascent Trip Report

Excellent views of Long Peak from summit. Used standard trailhead off Route 7. Parking lot gets crowded as this is a popular hike. Arrived when it was still dark at 0511 hrs. and could not find trail in the dark. Finally found it at about 0545 hrs. and reached summit at 0755 hrs. Back at trailhead at 1011 hrs. Marmots on the summit are curious and bold - as soon as you take something out to eat they come out of nowhere and want handouts.
