Ascent Trip Report

I approached Peak 2940 from East Evans Creek. The west side has East Evans Creek between the road and the summit and it is a steep rocky slope. I drove around to the east side and found a place where a new road has been pushed in towards the summit. The new road is bermed and with the recent rains it is very muddy slick red mud that stains everything. It caked onto my boots and was not easy to remove. I follwed the road up until it headed off west. I followed an old track up a ways and then through the forest to the rocky summit. No views because of the forest and it was a cloudy rainy day.
