Ascent Trip ReportWell what can i say? That is around my 12th HP and this one ranks with FL for the most boring. Ha! The fields were not colorful like in Ohio at the same time of year and the wonderful project the Boy Scout did to honor the site had, unfortunatley, not been taken care of well recently. The beer can in the tree was tacky. The marker was ....well....hardly a marker at all. I appreciated that the log box and the mail box were still there and in reasonable good shape.Shame the State does not give the owner a little help since people pilgrimage from all over. Saw it had been visted every day this week where as the Ohio site was like every 3 days.
The site could use a good cleaning and get this...the sign at the street was already stolen again. (look at previous reports to see how often it comes and goes) Good gravy! Why take that sign?
The best part of this trip was the rollercoaster roadway. I went up IN 227 north to the site and it a crazy ride. Other than that....well i am ready to climb a peak again ughhhhhh!
