Ascent Trip Report"new" trailhead by The Nature Conservancy & the State of Oklahoma northeast side of the mesa. nice flat walk then up the north side of the mesa to the top. beautiful afternoon after driving from western Kansas, thru southeast Colorado, quick stop at the post office in Chama, Colorado... odd post mistress presiding. thousands of sandhill cranes winging south toward Bosque del Apache on a nice northwind! a few families out for a nice hike.
