Ascent Trip ReportSierra and I met a full group for a 3500 club hike. We started from Rt. 42 around 9:00 and ascended the western ridge to Sherrill. Thankfully, the nettles were not much of a presence today. After signing at the canister, we descended into the col and worked our way toward North Dome. We found the canister without too much trouble, despite a false summit along the way. The viewpoint that can be found to the east of the summit was spectacular. After taking pictures, we negotiated the steep cliffs and boulders that eventually led to the Devil's Path. We arrived at the PA along Spruceton Rd. by 4:45. Overall, we had great weather, enthusiastic hike leaders, and excellent conditions for a fall bushwhack.
