Ascent Trip Report

I parked on US 30 next to a small gas station just east of the West Virginia state line and headed across the road and bushwacked upward. I found it rough going with lots of brambles and other high weeds as well as fallen trees. I wandered the ridge line to make sure I had reached the right spot and got turned around ultimately exiting the woods about 3/4 of a mile from my car. I walked down a side road to US 30, checked the GPS to make sure I was going in the right direction ( I usually mark a way point for my parking spot) and stuck out my thumb because I didn't relish walking along a busy highway. The third car that passed me, stopped on the pavement and backed up to pick me up. Nice Folks!
