Ascent Trip Report

Although this is not a state high point like Clingman's Dome or Mt. Mitchell, Mount Craig is a refreshing change from the pavement and towers and tourist conveniences on the summits of those two peaks. It is reached by a moderate trail from the Mount Mitchell summit parking area that gets you out of the developed area pretty quickly. A nice open summit with good views of the surrounding ranges
