Ascent Trip ReportAfter a two mile jog around Lake Elizabeth, Fremont, CA I drove to the foot of Mount Diablo along Diablo Road. Parked jeep on turn-out at 711ft. elev. and left for the summit at 1200hrs exact. Followed Summit Trail to summit (3849ft) which was obtained at 1431hrs. Took pictures, ate an apple, and rehydrated on summit until 1450hrs and set out for the jeep. Obtained the jeep at 1640hrs very tired. Saw very few people on the ascent and less on the descent. Totals on the day approx. 14 miles (includes morning jog) and some 3138+ vertical gain. Was a great day on my own!
