Ascent Trip Report

Hiked up Lonesome Lake Trail. At the top of the trail there was a nice lake and some cabins. Fishin Jimmy Trail had large rocks that required you to climb up and over, some provided stairs. This added some elevation without actually having to go uphill. From the top of Fishin Jimmy trail the trail to the peak, Kinsman Ridge Trail, was fairly easy. There were not many views from the summit as it was quite cloudy.

On the way down I decided to bypass the Fishin Jimmy trail by taking the Kinsman Pond trail to the Cascade Brook Trail. Along the Kinsman Pond trail there was a small pond with some tent shelters that seemed nice. The Cascade Brook Trail was quite rough and wet, as it followed the path of a small brook down the mountain, presumably the Cascade Brook. This also required hiking back part of the Cascade Brook Trail to meet up with the Lonesome Lake Trail to descend the rest of the way.
