Ascent Trip Report

I participated in an overnight backpack trip in a freshman orientation program my college hosted. The hike was either in the last week of August or the first week in September. I remember an under cast when I reached the summit of Avery Peak. We later hiked along the AT to the campsite between The Horns. Several severe thunderstorms passed by during the night.

I did not hike to the North Horn.
