Ascent Trip Report

I hiked this hill from a trail starting from NH Route 126. The trail was rocky and washed out in several areas the entire way. The summit is very broad and not that distinguishable other than a haphazardly built wind block made of rocks.

There were a few interesting and curious aspects to the hike. Not far from the parking area is a small cliff mostly covered with ferns and lichens. A military repelling rope was tethered over the side. About half way to the summit there is a large grassy area off the trail with makeshift rock alters and stone monuments. The structures appear to be recent, not historical, possibly wiccan.

Overall the mountain is rather unattractive and offers nothing more than a wide gravel path to follow.
