Ascent Trip ReportWeather was warm and clear. Trail was well-travelled because of favorable conditions. Saw at least a dozen people hiking the Dead Creek Flow trail, with probably half ascending Cat Mountain. Planks washed away near end of flow and had to cross using a beaver dam. Summit was gorgeous and empty, though windy and sometimes cool. Forest was a beautiful, deep and mature orange/brown. Descent and return by same trail. Total distance covered according to posted signs: 10.2 miles.
