Ascent Trip Report

This was a tough hike, once beyond the road portion - one needs to park on highway 157 since there is no (non-resident) parking in the rainbow canyon community.

I remember checking the GPS with .7 miles to go, and I still had 1,400 feet to gain, for an almost 40% average slope! Fortunately, the ground was fairly solid, so it was tough, but not dangerous. The terrain was class 1-2. For the most part, the brush was not bad.
