Ascent Trip ReportStarted from Jericho Rd up the Rocky Branch Trail. Nice trail, gradual climb. River crossing were pretty difficult. Water was high and fast, I would recommend bushwacking along the banks to avoid the crossings. Camped just off the Isolation Trail in a signed campsite near the Davis Path junction. Nice spot. I use a two-man Eureka tent, Johnny uses a hammock. Pretty mild night, everything was wet but we were able to get a small fire going for the first time (Its always pouring on us). Next day, got going around 9 and just had a short hike to the summit of Isolation. The rain had started and the clouds and fog made the views non-existant which is too bad because they would have been great. Hiked out via the Davis Path and Stairs Col Trail. The rain turned to a downpour, which turned the trails to rivers. Stairs Col Trail was very steep and slippery. Overall, great hike. Many shelters and camping areas along all the trails, plenty of water.
