Ascent Trip ReportProminent Summit north of Vancouver B.C. Trailhead starts on Sunset in the posh community of Lions Bay. Very limited parking at the signed TH. Count on having to park at the school several hundred vertical feet down the hill.
Walk old logging road. Go right at first fork (left fork will dead end at a ravine and waterfall after a couple of hundred meters). Switchback up to a second fork with a multicolored "Lions" sign. Go left here (right goes up to the Lions). Traverse on this road to the north crossing one small stream and then a larger one. Reach another fork after a short while and go right. There are a few small downed trees across the trail in this area. The path widens again shortly beyond. Follow the road to its end where the trail continues steeply up the slope to the west ridge of Brunswick. Follow the trail up along the ridge. Stay on or near the ridge line. Do not take the main trail traversing around to the south side. Follow the climbers path going straight up just south of the rock towers and reaching the summit ridge at a small saddle west of the summit. Scramble along the airy ridge over a false summit to the top. (stiff class 2 with moderate exposure).
Key Col is 520 meters with 40 meter interval.
