Ascent Trip ReportDarryl and I left Richmond P&R at 7:30AM, 09/19/2010 and got to Bucklin Trail Parking Lot on Wheelerville Rd around 9AM after 1.5 hours drive. We started to hike on Bucklin Trail to reach AT/LT for 3.4 miles. It took about 1.5 hours to get to AT/LT & Buckling Tr Junction. At the beginning of Bucklin Trail is very flat, and eventually it becomes continuous steep ascent. On LT/AT, we hiked toward South, passed Cooper Lodge after taking a break for snack time. We hiked LT/AT about 1.6 miles or so, then, started bushwhacking to aim to Little Killington first. After peakbagged it, we continued bushwhacking toward West, eventually we arrived at Little Mendon Peak(East side of peak), then, real Mendon Peak at West side.
We found canister and signed it in.
