Ascent Trip ReportFrom looking at the map, the true summit of this peak appears to be the separate bump southwest of the tower area. There is obviously a 1,240'+ contour area shown for that bump on the map, and it seems to look higher with firsthand inspection.
I was able to drive to the concrete structure near the summit, and follow an ATV trail almost to the col with the southwest peak. From there, it was a relatively easy bushwhack through mixed forest up to a neat boreal forest on the true summit. It probably took 15 minutes each way. I had cell phone service and great radio reception back at the tower area, so I called and chatted with my girlfriend for a bit and then listened to some NPR for a while before restarting my peakbagging adventure for the day.
