Ascent Trip ReportThis was high peak in the Adirondack area. Stacy and I drove up to the 87 north way through the Adirondack's to exit 30 after church and took route 73 north. Parked just past Lower Cascade Lake on the left at the trail head and began the hike in the mid afternoon. The weather was nice all day and the views once we hit the top were wonderful. Only took a day pack with limited supplies. And not hiking like this in years really took it out of me and my legs were hurting for a few days. The hike down was a little better and happy to reach the car once down and picked up dinner on the way home. Good first high peak to do was not bad. Total time to complete hike and a little time on top was about 6 hours.
