Ascent Trip Report

Another beautiful day for a hike. Weather was perfect in the low 70's and just a slight breeze. Got to the trailhead around 10 am and was at the summit in under an hour. Even at the top there was virtually no wind. I met volunteers Cindy and Brian on the way up and they were nice enough to open both the cabin and the tower for me. We talked for about a half an hour as other people reached the summit from both the north and south routes. They had catskill fire tower patches for sale but I don't usually carry money with me when I hike. 360 degree views of the region with red hill, double top, and slide easily visible as well as many more peaks. This is #20 for me with only 3 Catskill towers left.
