Ascent Trip ReportI accessed Palmer Peak from Star Gulch Road and BLM 39-4-22. BLM 39-4-22 connects to the Palmer Peak Jeep Road along the ridge and I turned right (east) on the jeep road. This jeep road is narrow but really not that rough. It is steep in places. As the road rounded the north ridge of Palmer Peak, I parked and hiked up the ridge. Low on the ridge it was open hiking under a forest cover. Near the summit there was some bushwhacking. The summit itself is in a clear area and there are views to the south. I scared a couple deer off the summit.
