Ascent Trip ReportFound entrance to Charles Mound trail off Charles Mound road. Several other cars where there indicating other High-pointers on the trail. Day was cool, sunny, and beautiful for hiking. Saw cars from New York, Texas, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana. Using the designated path, found it to be well maintained and safe. Estimate that the walk on the main trail to the old parking area is approximately 1 mile. Short hike to summit area over slightly more rapid grade. Well maintained signage.
