Ascent Trip Report

I stayed at North/South Lake Campground in Catskill, NY between 9/2-9/6 and I did multiple day hikes on 9/3-9/6 for 4 days.

Day-3 (9/5) was to hike at Hunter Mtn and Hunter Mtn SW peak including Fire Tower. We did loop hike and car spot was not required.

It took about 40min or so to drive to the trailhead of of Spruceton Trail TH on Spruceton Rd. from Campground.

Here is the short trip report:
9:05AM Arrived at the first Tr Junc (2.3mi). Very fast hike pace!
11:20AM Arrived at Fire Tower at Hunter Mtn.
11:50AM Left Fire Tower.
12:15PM Arrived to cairns to head out on herd path to grab Hunter SW Peak. Ate lunch here.
12:45AM Re-started hike on herd path.
01:05PM Arrived at canister of Hunter SW Peak. Signed notes in the canister.
2:45PM Came to the final junction where we saw nice brook and cascade. Took a rest for a while.
3:20PM or so. Came back to the parking Lot

There was no need bushwhacking on herd path to peakbag Hunter SW Peak. It was relatively easy hike.
