Ascent of Adams County High Point on 2010-09-01| Date: | Wednesday, September 1, 2010 | | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | | Motorized Transport to Trailhead: | Car | | Peak: | Adams County High Point | | Location: | USA-Colorado | | Elevation: | 5665 ft / 1726 m |
Ascent Trip ReportAgain, I followed the directions in Covill's book. The intersections near the off-ramp and the toll E470 were somewhat confusing but beyond that this one is easy. My only hesitation is that the farm he mentions as looking higher sure looked higher. But I'll take the claim that it has been leveled lower at face value rather than as an attempt to get people to avoid trespassing by going to a lesser point. Or so I hope.
