Ascent Trip ReportThe first thing we did was make a fatal error in the search for this highpoint. We missed the trail leading right to the benchmark and instead were on the west side of the house west of the trailhead. From there we were in recently logged forest for over an hour crossing swamp bogs and crossing swollen creek beds. In the end we retreated back out in a puzzled manor. It wasn't until we went home that we figured out where we were and what went wrong.
